[00:07] Good evening, folks. Welcome back. All right, so we’re going to do a quick little review. I apologize for getting to you late today. I had a very busy day with family and holiday preparation. It just catches up to you.
So let’s zoom out here a little bit, and I’ll try to make this as painless as possible. All righty, here we go. We’re going to go back to the London session. I’ll walk through the individual sessions and map them out, how price delivered, and how it did so based on the rules that I give you.
London trend and consolidation
[00:45] So a vertical line here, we’re going to delineate 2:00 a.m. Eastern Time to 5:00 a.m. All right, so what did the price action do during the London session? It trended. See that? So it trended there.
Moving on into 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., what did price do? Consolidate. The low that formed initially to the extreme high, using Monday’s regular trading hours opening range gap low, sold off and couldn’t take out the low. So this is consolidation.
Then we go into the morning session, 9:30 to 11:00, right there.
Lunch-session London low sweep
[02:22] Okay, so we had a reversal, traded low, and then we moved into consolidation. Breaks lower, entering into the two-hour New York lunch, okay, 11:30 to 1:30.
You can see we drifted lower. We took out the low of London session liquidity, tried one more time to go lower, and then rallied back up.
Inside of the gray box is today’s regular trading hours opening range gap, and I’ll show you that here through the medium of regular trading hours charting.
This was Monday, okay? And I think we’re going to try to get above this area here.
Monday opening-range gap target
[03:34] So we have a clean level. There’s buy-side there. So I think we’re going to explore Monday’s regular trading hours opening range gap. I’d like to see it trade to consequent encroachment and see how we trade there, if it can get there at all.
Just because I’d like to see it happen doesn’t mean it’s going to happen, but I’d be interested in seeing it try to make an attempt to get up to that level. At the very minimum, take this liquidity out here.
[03:55] But we have this Monday regular trading hours opening range gap, and then we have this one here for Tuesday. So elongate this a little bit so you can see it. See that?
So here’s the opening today at 9:30 Eastern Time. Regular trading hours resumes. The gap low is here. So we moved just outside the boundaries of that and pulled us all the way back up. Notice that it failed to get to the 9:30 opening price. This is going to act as a magnet, folks, okay?
Tuesday gap and liquidity run
[04:32] It may not get there the first time it reaches for it. Then it pulls it all the way back down, takes out the liquidity resting below this low here,
traded back up into the regular trading hours opening range gap for Tuesday’s trading. This is 9:33’s first presented fair value gap.
Okay, so 33 minutes after 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, this is your first gap that forms. We extended that through, used it nicely here to take out the liquidity, failed to get below the London session low.
[05:05] And I’ll go back to electronic trading hours to follow through with this one.
So this is that liquidity, relative equal lows there during the London session. And then we have nicely selling off, midpoint consequent encroachment of the first presented fair value gap this morning at 9:33 a.m. Cleared the liquidity in the London session, and it had to go down below it again.
Didn’t get below the low, but the bodies went below—or it looks—let me double-check that before I say it.
FVG support and rally
[05:44] It looks like it did, but these old eyes, I don’t trust them. Yeah, we got below it, so that’s a valid run. Okay, and then we rallied back up into Tuesday’s regular trading hours opening range gap. And then, using the graded levels, first presented fair value gap, straight up to it here.
Come back down into the lower quadrant of Tuesday’s regular trading hours opening range gap, trade back up in, use it as a discount-sensitive PD array—the high of it, first presented fair value gap for Tuesday’s trading—and we rally up.
RTH open magnet
[06:33] And we get to the regular trading hours opening range opening price, and that is anchored to 9:30’s opening price. So while we didn’t get to it here, look what it did—it gravitated right back up into it there.
So again, watch this candlestick right there. The open is 30,708.75. Here, this candlestick’s high: 30,708.75, to the tick. But that’s probably random.
So we’re likely to continue going up into—and I know this isn’t going to benefit you because you’re going to be saying, “Why didn’t you do this live?” or whatever—but I’d like to see it extrapolate up into and make an attempt to get to Monday’s regular trading hours opening range gap, consequent encroachment, the midpoint.
Buy-side liquidity above highs
[07:35] That’s what this line is here, okay? And look at this here. So we have this area here to there, slightly higher high. So liquidity will be anchored to this high. Okay, so there’s buy-side there.
And then we’ll have the same thing applied to this high. Okay, so both of those are pools of liquidity I think are going to be salient to what price should be doing next. And I think that’s going to be it, short and sweet.
[08:36] And I guess if my schedule permits, I’ll try to do something with y’all tomorrow. If not, you know, it is what it is, right? I hope you had a very pleasant day. Until I talk to you next time, be safe.
